Over the course of the 20 game season, she took 23 shots and scored six goals. She also contributed with two assists. Five of her six goals came in conference play including the game winner against Cal on Sept. 23 when she scored with 8:06 left to play. In a home game on Oct. 18, Marissa scored two goals in the Tigers 5-1 win over Longwood.<b>2004 (Sophomore):</b>Slowed by leg injuries in her second season at Pacific, Marissa provided bursts of energy off the bench as she played in 17 games, including one start, last season. Atilano finished her sophomore campaign with two shots on goal.<b>2003 (Freshman):</b>In her first season with the Tigers, Marissa appeared in all 16 of Pacific's contests. She recorded two goals and two assists for a total of six points in her freshman season. Both of Atilano's goals came in the Tigers 4-2 loss to Stanford on Sept. 27th, while she notched an assist in Pacific's 2-1 win over Georgetown on Sept. 15th and another in the Tigers' 4-1 victory against Stanford on Nov. 1st. Atilano took 11 shots in 2003, her strong play helped allow the Tigers to utilize a forward rotation that kept a fresh attacker on the field at all times.<b>High School:</b>Atilano graduated from San Pasqual High School in Escondido, Calif. where she led her team to a second place finish in the CIF tournament. A member of the Avocado League First Team as a senior, Marissa also won the Coaches Award and Sportsmanship Award in 2002 and was an All-CIF Second Team member.<b>Personal:</b>Marissa Atilano is the daughter of Carlos and Teri Atilano. She has one brother, Andrew (22). In her fourth year at Pacific, Marissa is a biological science major and hopes to continue her education in PA school, with a career goal of becoming a Physician's Assistant.<b>MacDonald on Atilano:</b>"Marissa is an aggressive and competitive forward with an excellent shot on goal.
